Siduri Jayaram Haslerig, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Adult & Higher Education at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Haslerig’s research nests the study of intercollegiate athletics and college athletes within higher education. Of particular interest are equity, access, and inclusion; student athletes’ academic achievement; developmental and support services in intercollegiate athletics; and qualitative research methods.
Dr. Haslerig’s research has been published in journals such as the American Educational Research Journal, the Sociology of Sport Journal, the Journal of Career Development, and the International Review for the Sociology of Sport .
Since the fall of 2015, Dr. Haslerig has directed the Intercollegiate Athletics Administration graduate concentration. This role has enabled her to train future practitioners and scholars (and every imaginable combination thereof). She has also served as the program area coordinator for Adult & Higher Education since 2018. In the process of embracing both roles, she discovered a genuine love for administration and leadership.
